I have been to Paris before, in the 60s, so a lot has changed since - nonetheless I liked everything. Even the teeny tiny lift (or elevator)! The hotel is genuinely old and of the period and elegantly decorated, so expect rooms which are not enormous - but no smaller than others of the same period. I had a tree-lined street view - of Paris, what more could I ask? The reception staff were lovely, helpful, thoughtful and humorous. The 5th Arrondissement is perfectly convenient. A short and delightful walk to the Seine and Notre Dame de Paris, to absorb the amazing progress being made on the restorations, walk the Boulevard Ste Germain and other notable roads. And dont miss “Shakespeare & Co” , still operating in an area of bookshops (who’d ‘a thought?). I could possibly have arranged to visit when the weather was less wet, but then I gave one of the hotel’s provided umbrellas an enthusiastic work-out.

This hotel is quaint and charming, and the location in the Latin Quarter was perfect. We walked from the hotel to Notre Dame, Jardin de Luxembourg, the Pantheon, and much more. La Table des Ecoles, directly across the street, serves delicious meals, pastries and coffee, not to mention cocktails. Our superior double room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The hotel staff was warm and so helpful with everything from calling taxis to restaurant recommendations to directions and more. We fell in love with the Latin Quarter and the Hotel Minerve and would definitely stay again.

We had a great 4 nights in this hotel. The room was cleaned every day. The windows overlooked the street, where the main entrance to the hotel is located. We slept with the windows open. The sleep was wonderful. Some people write about noise from the street, but we didn’t hear anything like that. There is an electric kettle, tea, coffee and cocoa. There are several metro stations, shops, bakeries and cafes nearby. There is a market nearby, which is open on certain days in the morning. There were no problems with hot water, we used the bath. Complimentary wine available at an additional cost.

The location is fantastic, a short walk to the Pantheon, Notre Dame and Louvre, metro is easy to reach other areas. There are plenty of eateries around the hotel too. The staff are polite and helpful, it was spotlessly clean. It is a city centre hotel so expect noise, however the windows were incredible, no street noise to speak of, yes you can feel and hear a little of the metro, but not much and would happily stay again.

Placed next to the Latin Quarter and was walking distance from the Pantheon, carrefour, a wonderful district for cafes and bars and even a great boulangerie. Overall a fantastic location with straight access to the metro nearby. Also housed in a very beautiful old style building which made it work. Felt like a real Parisian experience with the architecture and the balcony in the room too! View was amazing!
